Meg Vanderbilt is a self-taught artist whose career begin over the last decade in Gastonia, NC.  She remembers her first "mural" of a horse in her bedroom when she was only 8 years old.  She has always appreciated nature and its beauty and enjoys trying to capture that in her paintings.  She has spent the last twenty years around horses and her dogs and thoroughly enjoys using them as her subject matter.  Among being selected for numerous juried shows, purchase awards, a first place and a people's choice award, she has had the opportunity to display art in churches, schools, businesses and homes.  She has been blessed with three amazing children and attributes many of her ideas to their imagination.  Her husband, an amazing influence in her life, constantly challenges her to exceed her self-imposed limits.
